For sale Zeiss Tessar 300mm 1:4.5 Fast Brass Lens + Flange + Lensboard 163mmx138mm, ULF. The Lens serial number is 9401296, dating it to around 1940s. Lens glass comes with the blue coating; the barrel is  aluminium. The aperture scale marked is from F4.5 to 32. For many, Tessar Lenses need no introduction, they were and still are one of the most popular Lenses in the history of photography. Zeiss are the pioneers in the Tessar Lens design, which is remarkably sharp with high brilliance.
The Lens optics has some issues, the back inner element shows 2 spots of star shaped separation near edge (see last pic above) and for faint marks on the front and back surfaces, internally there may be dust. The aperture diaphragm open and close smoothly. Lens dimension- 3½ inch height; 4 inch front dia; 90mm flange mounting thread OD.
Lens comes with its 6 holed mounting flange and Lensboard 163mmx138mm. Perfect Lens for shooting/collection.
