As found as I'm not a camera expert or even amateur! I just think they're cool and am always on the lookout. Also have a Skyflex listed.
he Bolsey-Flex is a name variant of the Ising Pucky camera, made in Germany. It is a 6×6 pseudo TLR, with guess focusing, a 80/7.7 lens with three aperture settings (7.7, 11, 16), and a Time & Instant synchronized shutter. Film is advanced by a knob and there is double exposure prevention. The camera has a round finder window, and a small finder hood.
The Bolseyflex is a later variant, with a square finder window, a larger finder hood and a restyled body. The aperture numbers are replaced by Sunny and Cloudy indications.
Both models have a greenish leatherette finish.
This is a Bolsey-Flex, a twin lens box camera produced by Ising of West Germany for the Bolsey Corp. of America around 1954. A couple of different cameras were produced for Bolsey, all with the same Bolseyflex name, but they were often made by different companies. This particular model is a name variant of the Ising Pucky II. It shoots 6cm x 6cm images on 120 roll film. The Bolsey-Flex is an ornate, but simple camera that is often referred to as a “pseudo-TLR” as it resembles a regular TLR with a large waist level finder, but has the features of a box camera.
