Beautiful and Rare RICOHMATIC 225 (1959) Serial N° 13259
stamped on top of the name plate
. (The 132nd camera made in 1939)!

Exceptional Full Working close to new condition
. Superb
RIKENON f:3.5 "Four Element Tessar Type" 80 mm. Coated and Color Corrected Taking Lens
N° 32872
and Matched RICOH f:3.2 80 mm."Three Element" Viewing lens. ( Most 1950's TLR's including the Rolleiflex, had 75mm lenses which don't completely cover the corners of the film plane!)

In
Exceptional Original Condition
Externally and Internally.
The
Lens is clean no scratches, cleaning marks or fungus and only a very slight amount of internal dust.
It is in "ready to Use" Condition.
The Shutter works at all speeds and is Very Accurate
.
The Black fine
grained covering is in very close to Original
Condition.
The Bright and Satin Chrome body has no dents or dings,only a very few light scratches and the very slightest signs of age and handling. There is a slight rubbing on the uppr part of the lens shade. The Black Lacquer paint is close to perfect. The image on the magnifying ground glass is as bright as new.. The Reflex mirror is also bright as new and has no scratches and only a very slight amount of internal dust.
Internally the camera is as clean as New
.
There are no signs the camera has been used with film. I did test it and it works perfectly.
The
Viewfinder and "Sports Finder" opens correctly and the "Pop-Up" Magnifier lens is perfect

Automatic Film Advance/Counter and Double Exposure prevention device (No Red Window needed).
It has a "Dual-position" "Direct Reading" Exposure Meter
. Very rare after 60 plus years, the exposure meter is still working.

should mention that the Ricohmatic 225 was only sold at PX shops and was Never exported to the U.S. It is a rare example of one of the very best TLRs'. Only about 3,000 were produced.

Purchased as a collectible for display and always stored correctly in my Climatized Storage. In
"ready to use"
