Heisey Lariat Hurricane Lamp Enamel Decoration - Replacement Shade
This candleholder was first made by Heisey around 1942. The original shade was shorter. They were easily broken and are difficult to find. This one works well and is quite attractive. The shade sits on the outside of the inner notches. I would use an adhesive, putty, or other fixative to hold it firmly in place. Of course, it can be used without the shade.
The hurricane base was made with or without the finger loop. This one has the applied finger loop. It has a crack where the loop is applied to the inside of the saucer-probably done when it was applied. The bottom rim is a little rough.
The lamp base is approximately  7 1/4" wide. The chimney shade is just under 12".

I pack everything with great care.  I use recycled material when I can, but usually have to buy bubble wrap and peanuts. Your shipping cost is shown in the auction listing before you bid and is based on the shipping rates from my home to yours including insurance.  All of my items are unique. I weigh each item and then add one or two pounds for the estimated weight of the box and packing material. The estimate is usually within a dollar or two of the actual shipping and insurance amount.  Sometimes the actual charge is more, but you are not charged for the extra amount.  I refund shipping if it is over by more than 2-3 dollars depending on the package. Let me know if you think the shipping is too high before you bid and I will double check the weight of the item.
I inspect items carefully for any damage and try to describe the auction items clearly and accurately.  I will gladly refund your bid price if an item differs significantly from my description.  Items must be returned within 14 days of receipt to receive a refund.  Please contact me if you have any problems with my auction item.
