Blue Ghosts - Airmobile RECON Vietnam War Blue Ghosts.
F Troop, 8th Cavalry Raised / Formed in Vietnam in April of 1968 from assets of C Troop, 7th Squadron, 17th Cavalry the BLUE GHOSTS were formed to provide Aerial Recon for the 23rd Infantry Divison (Americal).
Originally part of the 123rd Aviation Battalion the Troop became part of the 196th Infantry when the 123rd departed and later was attached ot the 11th Aviation Group at Da Nang.
On February the 26th, 1973 the unit, by then under command of the 12 Aviation Group at Bien Hoa ended its service.
