    Found in Maine… an Antique Wollensack Planatic Century Series III 4x5 Brass Camera Lens with adjustable shutter dial, and adjustable aperture (max aperture is f/4).. more than likely came off of a bellows 4x5 drop-bed camera (date shows 1901)…
    This recently came out of storage.. so it hasn’t been used for a “long” time.. hence… the shutter has some issues , NOT so much on the 100 speed, that seems to fire fine, even the “B” setting seems to work as it should.. the “T” periodically works… but the lower speeds >100 doesn’t seem to work as it should: The shutter will either 1) Open and stay opened… 2) Will fire as the 100 speed, no difference.. it “may” start to work if you exercise the shutter button or maybe it will need to be serviced??
    Cosmetically, the brass look nice, a few wear spots from use, it has the pneumatic shutter attachments (not tested)… I did take off both the front/rear lens elements and cleaned both.. the front glass looks really nice! The rear glass unfortunately has some scratches on the center of the lens.. probably from being stored without a cap on the back! (See pic)..
    I didn’t see any fungus or any other anomalies in the glass besides that scratch on the rear element.
