Description
This cumbersome coffee maker was an early model of todays drip coffee machine.On the bottom of the unit it is listed as KWIK DRIP COFFEE MAKER. A product of
West Bend Aluminum Company. West Bend, Wis USA. It is a four part unit which
allows for easy cleaning and use. The base can sit on a stove burner, bbq burner or
hot plate. It is a round metal container with a round 2" pour spout and black plastic
handle. This round metal unit is about 8" across and holds 15 cups of water. Can
also be used as a hot water container for tea or cocoa.
The second container is the strainer. This all metal unit is about 9" tall and 7" round.
Has markings for holding 9-12-15 cups of water. Lift out removable coil plunger, add
coffee, replace plunger and pour in boiling water. It will seep thru the sieved bottom
into the pot below. It takes about 10 minutes. The metal lid is the last piece. It has
a black plastic knob on top with the word WEST BEND on top. It fits both the sieve
and base unit.
